Weekly Update 17-12-06

A big thanks to Robin Hewitt for recently sharing his thoughts with us about all things weather…it was wonderful and is stimulating much ongoing discussion; we hope to welcome him back after Christmas for more illumination
 
This Sunday sees our Juniors as usual at 9
 
The 2017 Windsurfer States will be held at Parkdale this Sunday.  I will be casual, fun and busy as we race through as much as we can in a day
 
(no Windsurfer Training this week)
 
For those who have looked at the sailing calendar, you may have noticed that our Christmas dinner is scheduled to kick off round 5 (ish)…No, it’s not a surprise, its been on the calendar for months by the way !
 
A simple BBQ with simple salads is planned and as usual ,all are welcome
 
Please email your intention to Jim NOW, it will help those who seek to make it successful for all
 
Afternoon racing includes Championship # 5, Commodores Trophy # 4 and a resail if needed

a big summers week of hot and bothered….lucky we get to so sailing on Sunday !
 
it looks like it will be a mixed bag of weather….lucky we will have Robin Hewitt to help us understand what is going on…..
 
after racing we will be treated to hear many words from the man himself
 
 
gold coin on the door and cold drinks to slow you down
 
you and all your friends are warmly welcomed

Weekly Update

A beautiful summers day sailing last week with our morning waters full of Juniors making the most of it
great to see a number of them out racing in the afternoon….congrats to you all !!
 
Big congrats to novice Windsurfer Jude Smale who beat all other boards round the course in Race 2

 

This week sees afternoon racing include; Ray Whitford #8, Commodores Trophy #3 and a resail
 
OOD and Canteen presented by Stan Blazejewski, Adrienne & Kai

Pre-start Working Bee

Several enthusiastic members came down to the club early Saturday morning to give the boat shed a much needed spring clean.

It will be much nicer working out of a clean shed tomorrow without having to battle 6 months of dust and sand.
