An application to the State Government for funding in part the redevelopment of our Clubhouse was recently made by the City of Kingston. Mr Tim Richardson MP is assisting in the process, and Letters of Support have been obtained from Mr Mark Dreyfus QC MP and Mr Murray Thompson MP to support the application. Their time and effort is greatly appreciated.
The Letters of Support received from Sailing Associations, a local school, and members are also being used to support the application for State Funding.
A public submission was made on the proposed Bay Trail, and its interaction with the Parkdale Yacht Club. Council Officers are working hard to address our concerns over parking and to ensure a safe separation between cyclists and members when entering and exiting the Yacht Club.
The next major step is feedback from the State Government over our application.
